Many Utah land developers, including the biggest in the state, have learned that the Applicant Built Line Extension (ABL) program can give them greater flexibility and control over their projects, while also leading to shorter install timelines, fewer costly mistakes and savings of 15% or more, by teaming up with experts like Cato Line Construction.
At CATO we have the experience to save you time, money and the hassle of dealing with Rocky Mountain Power. Let us communicate, coordinate, and conduct the installation of your site power. We know exactly what they need and how to help you get what you want. Which is power – sooner, simpler, for less. That’s how we POWER YOUR DEVELOPMENT.
The process works like this:
- You (the Applicant) tell Rocky Mountain Power to design your project as an Applicant Built Line extension (ABL) and they begin the estimate.
- CATO will review the design with your interests in mind, looking for any conflicts, unnecessary costs and areas to streamline the job. We can attend meetings on your behalf, provide input and help you understand the process. Our goal is to make your job easier.
- Once the estimator has designed the job we will review the contract with you and break down exactly how your money will be spent and how much you can save.
- As soon as you accept RMP’s contract we can get to work because you’re already on our schedule! No waiting and wondering if a minor problem will send the utility crews away for who knows how long. And problems aren’t as likely in the first place because you’ve hired an expert who knows the power business.
- CATO can trench and install the conduit, as well as the electrical infrastructure to your new subdivision. We do it all; pull the wire, set the transformers and terminate the cable. Rocky Mountain Power will just inspect and perform the final hook up to the system. We can install your street lights too.
It’s that simple. The Applicant Built line program allows you to control your project and work on your timeline. We work for you, not for the power company, and we put the power in your hands. Contact CATO Line Construction today.
