Positions Available

Heavy Equipment Operator

Job description:

CATO Line Construction is searching for heavy equipment operators interested in the line industry. Operators will perform work throughout Northern Utah consisting of trenching, grading, and installation of conduit, street lights and electrical distribution equipment. Operators will also assist Lineman and crew with pulling cable, setting electrical equipment and terminating high voltage conductors in a non-energized environment.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates include reliable and trustworthy individuals who are excited to join and contribute to the CATO team. Employees must be capable of and willing to learn, grow and progress on the job, comprehend instructions, execute tasks and remain productive without constant management.
  • Must have experience operating skid steers, loaders, and excavators
  • CDL license a plus
  • Willingness to arrive at various job sites – mileage reimbursed
  • Ability to work safely in all elements and understand safe work practices
  • Productive, forward thinking, positive attitude

Laborer

Job description:

CATO Line Construction is searching for construction laborers seeking to learn and grow in the line and excavation trades. Work is performed throughout Northern Utah and consists of assisting operators in trenching, grading, and installation of conduit, street lights and electrical distribution equipment; as well as assisting Lineman and crew with pulling cable, setting distribution equipment and performing high voltage terminations in a non-energized environment.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates include reliable and trustworthy individuals who are excited to join and contribute to the CATO team. Employees must be capable of and willing to learn, grow and progress on the job, comprehend instructions, execute tasks and remain productive without constant management.
  • Construction experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with skid steers, loaders, and excavators is a plus
  • CDL license is a plus
  • Willingness to arrive at various job sites – mileage reimbursed
  • Ability to work safely in all elements and learn and understand safe work practices
  • Productive, forward thinking, positive attitude
